This week was packed with exciting activities and special events.
Shrove Tuesday, pupils enjoyed a delicious treat while learning about the tradition behind the day. The following day, we marked Ash Wednesday with Mass, reminding us of the importance of reflection and preparation during Lent.
As part of Shared Education, the pupils took part in Glow club, exploring ICT and STEM activities, which was brilliant and the children really enjoyed. The children also took part in hockey with R9, and had fun at the park. It was a pleasure to have everyone together for such a brilliant day!
We also celebrated World Book Day, with pupils taking part in activities to promote a love of reading.
Pupils had the opportunity to take part in an art lesson via Zoom with Sinead from Art and Design Factory, where they followed along with her creative guidance to produce fantastic artwork.
Today our Emotional Resilience Workshop continued, helping pupils develop important skills to support their wellbeing.
As a Friday treat, the children enjoyed a trip to the park today, making the most of the fresh air and fun with their friends.
Finally, we say a heartfelt goodbye to our brilliant student teacher, Miss Granleese, as she’s finishes her amazing eight weeks with us. She has been a fantastic part of our school community, bringing so much enthusiasm, kindness, and dedication to her teaching. The children have loved having her in the classroom, and we are so grateful for all she has done. To celebrate her time with us, we held a lovely tea and assembly, where pupils and staff had the chance to share their appreciation and best wishes.
Miss Granleese, you will be greatly missed, but we hope you won’t be a stranger. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. Wishing you every success in your teaching career!
