Stars of the Week 14.03.2025
We’ve had another busy and exciting week, filled with wonderful achievements and memorable experiences.
We are delighted to celebrate our Stars of the Week, who have shown fantastic effort, kindness and dedication in all they do. These pupils continue to lead by example, demonstrating our school values of Collaboration and Faith. Well done to all - keep up the brilliant work!
Our Primary 7 pupils attended their Confirmation practice, as they continue to prepare for this very special and meaningful occasion.
We also celebrated Science week, where pupils explored their creativity and curiosity through exciting experiments and hands-on learning with Eurekaseekers.
The children also continuing their football and P.E skills through Skill school club, which has been a fantastic opportunity for the children to improve their teamwork and coordination.
A big thank you to our Primary 6 and 7 parents, who joined us for the ‘What’s Inside’ session, which provided valuable insights and learning opportunities.
As part of Shared education, our pupils visited St Canice’s primary school, where they had a fantastic day taking part in Glow Club, exploring the Forest playground and enjoying a fun football session with Andrena. Thank you for having us!
The children also developed their skills through Gaelic and Fundamentals with Eimear on Thursday, the children showed great enthusiasm and teamwork.
A primary 6 pupil brought in some amazing tadpoles this week for the children to see. We got to see them up close up and learn what they look like before they transformed into frogs, thank you for bringing them in.
We had lots to celebrate this week with certificates awarded for Reading Eggs and Fast Phonics. A huge well done to our Primary 2 pupil who has completely finished Fast Phonics, an incredible achievement!
Well done also to all Primary 2, who received certificates for completing their first 45 and 100 keywords - a brilliant effort from everyone!
A special mention to a Primary 1 boy, who has done outstanding work and has now achieved all his keywords. An amazing achievement, well done.
Congratulations to the girls who received medals for the Foyle Cup, a Primary 3 girl who earned a medal for Karate, and good luck to our Primary 5 boy and Primary 7 girl who will be playing at half-time during Derry vs Mayo match this weekend - what a fantastic experience.
To finish off a brilliant week, the children enjoyed a well-deserved trip to the park today as a Friday treat.
Finally, a very special mention to our wonderful Principal, Mrs Jackson, who is celebrating her birthday today. We hope you had a fantastic day!
